The purpose of this project is threefold, namely, first to develop an interpretative framework apt to analyse the organizational and management mechanism guiding the search and exploitation of technological, production and marketing competencies within and across business firms, and second, to apply such conceptual tools in order to diagnose the patterns of competence accumulation and their competitive exploitation (including business and geographical growth/diversification) in European firms; and, third to derive normative implications at the level of both strategic management practices and public policies. | ||
