The Russian aviation industry underwent a deep restructuring after the collapse of Soviet Union. Excess capacity, backwardness in some key technological areas, lack of commercial capabilities, burocratic distortion and, finally, the collapse of passenger transport all created formidable problems to the industry. Interesting theoretical problems are behind this situation. The project attempted to review the existing evidence on Russian-Western managers, constructed a series of detailed case studies and large database, and finally produced a series of recommendation to the Euroepean Commission and Western manufacturers. | ||
